Banquet Houseperson

Croasdaile Country Club, a premier private establishment located in beautiful Durham, NC is in search of a full-time Banquet Houseperson to set up and break down all meeting spaces with tables/chairs/water, for our Banquets and Events department.

Our Banquet Houseperson is responsible for setting up all banquets and events at the Club. The successful candidate will work closely with the Food & Beverage management team as well as the Catering team to ensure members and their guests receive the highest level of service. 

Full-time position – Tuesday through Saturday; $18 Hourly

Responsibilities

The Banquet Houseperson will be setting up tables, chairs, risers, podiums, etc. for events in multiple rooms according to event contracts. Ensuring setup and breakdowns are done completely, accurately, safely, and efficiently according to Club policies. Clean, organize and maintain storage rooms. Light maintenance is required. Properly set, clean, and maintain all function rooms, service corridors, storerooms, and function areas in a safe, accident-free manner.

Requirements:

Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests, coworkers, and supervisors. Must have the ability to speak and understand English.

Reading and writing abilities are utilized often with banquet event orders and instructions.

Classic math is used frequently to ensure the proper setup of tables, settings, chairs, etc.

Previous F&B or banquet experience required.

Excellent oral communication and listening skills.

Ability to follow directions.

Must adhere to safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.

Must be able to handle, carry, push, or lift items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Must be able to be active for long periods of time – standing, walking, bending, pulling, pushing, arranging the equipment, etc.

A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Schedules vary based upon needs - must have open availability including weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and holidays.

Dining Room Server

Croasdaile Country Club, a premier private establishment located in beautiful Durham, NC is in search of a full-time Dining Room Server.

Croasdaile Country Club is currently seeking enthusiastic servers to work in our Member Dining Room and Event spaces. Servers will be experienced in customer service, dining menu knowledge, and bar menu knowledge.

- Use customer service skills to build positive and professional relationships with members
- Use extensive knowledge of menu items and beverage options to create the best dining experience for members
- Complete daily side-work and cleaning tasks

 

Requirements:

Experience is not required, however, the ideal candidate will be eager to learn and willing to jump right in. Croasdaile offers competitive hourly pay with ample opportunity to earn tips from both a tip pool and directly from members.
